Recipe - Paleo Chocolate Brownies

Rather than grabbing a chocolate bar or a digging into a tub of ice cream, why not whip up a batch of our Paleo Chocolate Brownies. They're GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE & REFINED SUGAR FREE so can enjoy a clean treat with no guilty aftertaste.

PALEO CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
- 100g dark chocolate
- ¼ cup coconut cream
- ¼ cup cacao powder sifted
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
- ¼ cup arrowroot flour
- ¼ cup coconut flour sifted
- ¼ tsp bi carb soda
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 eggs whisked
- ¼ cup cooked and mashed pumpkin
Pre heat to 180 degrees or 165 degrees fan forced.
Grease and line a square brownie tray.
Place chocolate, coconut cream, cocoa powder and coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat until melted.
In a separate bowl combine arrowroot flour, coconut flour, baking soda and salt.
Add the melted chocolate mixture, maple syrup, oil, eggs and pumpkin to the dry ingredients.
Mix well and pour batter in prepared tin.
Bake 25 - 35 mins or until slightly moist in centre.
